Fulton Hogan is a large infrastructure construction, roadworks and aggregate supplier company, operating across New Zealand and Australasia. With 7000 employees, 150 various site types and 2,600 subcontractor organisations, there is a substantial requirement to streamline compliance and onboarding processes, and reduce the costs and complexity associated with training. Fulton Hogan needed a skilled and cost effective elearning partner to work with and Learnt Lately is proud to continue to provide project support across the business.
In Learnt Lately’s initial project with Fulton Hogan, we were asked to replace 90 minute face-to-face training with an elearning solution that would onboard new users to the LMS and HSQES systems. The elearning also had to provide troubleshooting support to business users to reduce the number of queries support had to process. The ultimate goal was to remove the burden of training from individuals, decentralise best practice information, and reduce the number of system queries for the Applications team.
Fulton Hogan engaged Learnt Lately to work with their systems expert and document the processes then build engaging ‘Watch me, Try me, Test me’ simulated elearning.
Eighteen months after our initial project delivery, we caught up with Jess Aldridge, Fulton Hogan Application Analyst, to investigate the lasting impact our elearning program has had.
“The project was, and continues to be, very successful. It’s saved many hours of face to face training and since the onset of the Covid pandemic, we’re under pressure to do more with less so having converted this training to elearning has been a godsend. ”
Jess says, “We’ve had really good feedback from the business due to how interactive the courses are. People really like the interactive simulations as it gives them a real practice environment to work with. We also get positive feedback on the ease of use.”
The courses have received a 4.5 out of 5 star rating via Fulton Hogan’s LMS.
“ Learnt Lately were easy to work with, yet very professional. The process was easy and we’ve ended up with a crowd-pleasing solution to what was a long-term business challenge.”
